I am still here, here as I have been for too long. No matter how fine or thick they lay things upon me, I remain. I still enjoy those years long ago when things were quieter, and less churning. I rise, and sometimes fall, but I am alive. I can think, of those like us, with heartbeats that should be heard. Are you ok Chantal? I really do worry. I feel as if we have met. I see your eyes, wishing, and staring at a moonless night. Please Chantal, do not cry, your tears always seem to make it to me. We must not hide our feelings while caged, but, those tears will give us away. I pray for us. Hoping someday to meet when freed. I hope this happens, whether it’s in a month, or a year. Chantal, do as I, and never give up–hope, and hope aloud. Someone will hear, and set us free one day soon.

Authors Footnote–
I have written of Chantal before-please go to her website; www.freechantal.com and read more of her plight. It shames me as an American, to know that we cage men (like me) and WOMEN (like Chantal) for decades, for their NON-VIOLENT crimes. I thank all of you for visiting and supporting FreeGeorge, and can only hope that you would also support Chantal’s fight for justice, and freedom.
